MY HISTORY IN THE VACATION RENTAL BUSINESS

In 1996, as one of the first in the industry, I started to rent several short-term rental properties in Seattle. In 1999, my partner Jimmy and I bought a home in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico as our first vacation rental property in Mexico. Unfortunately, in 2005, Jimmy died of melanoma.  Our home, Casa Hortencias, has many great memories for me and for the thousands of guests who have stayed in our home over the past several decades. 

So, after 25 years in the vacation rental business, it’s time to slow down. At one point I had 52 rental units.  Today, in 2024, after selling most of my properties, I have retained three that are special to me.  

So, I welcome you to visit my home, Casa Hortencias, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico or spend time in the sunshine at one of my two beachfront condos on Anna Maria Island, Florida. Two great tropical destinations. Two great experiences.
